Stafford Library is making a new year’s resolution to be more green by recycling more types of waste.
In addition to the office paper and newspapers and magazines we have recycled for many years, we will start recycling hard- and paper-back books that have not been selected from the library’s book sale shelves.
We will also recycle floppy disks, flash drives, VHS tapes, audio cassette tapes, compact discs, and DVDs.
The flash drives are sent to the Missouri State Library for use at the Wolfner Library for the Blind. Recorded books are put on the flash drives to send to Wolfner Library patrons.
You too can help keep items out of the landfill. Bring your unused and unneeded floppies, flash drives, tapes, CDs and DVDs to the library for recycling.
